The Collective: Goods that help you be well + do well.

who even are you?

We are two friends who met in 2010 on a trip to Haiti that would change our lives. Trying to do the “right thing” meant something different to us then… and as we learned through our relationships and experiences, our idea of helping changed.

We spent over 6 years working together alongside our team in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We often would take gifts from our island home back when we visited our families and friends and began to see how purchasing a beautiful, unique item from the island also empowered people. We began to wonder if there were people like us who wanted beautiful items that were unique and provided dignifying employment.

Steph went on to help establish a women’s sewing co-op in Haiti through the work of Konbit Haiti and we began selling their hand-made items in both the USA and Canada. After that, we knew we wanted to invite more people into this story.

The Collective represents the people around the world who are bound by exploitation, child abandonment, and hunger all due to the fact that they cannot find stable and regular employment. We support organizations doing this work around the world, but of course stay pretty focused on Haiti and her people.

You can shop online 24/7 and we will be opening our Collective Coffee Bar and Gift Shop in Oldetown Daphne, AL. USA soon!
